盲目の母親を狩人のバラモンから救うため二匹の猿の兄弟が命を捧げる本生譚で、そのバラモンは三匹すべてを殺した後まもなく災難に見舞われ地獄に生まれ変わる。

A Jātaka in which two monkey brothers offer their lives to save their blind mother from a hunting brahmin, who kills all three and is soon after struck by disaster and reborn in hell.
