一部經，佛陀向婆羅門檳伽羅俱舍解說梵行的目標不在利養、名譽、戒行、禪定或知見，而唯在不死解脫，譬如樹木的真正心材。

A discourse to the brahmin Piṅgalakoccha in which the Buddha explains that the goal of the holy life lies not in gain, esteem, virtue, concentration or insight, but in immortal deliverance alone, likened to the very heartwood of a tree.
