一經講述自負無人能在辯論中勝過自己的薩遮迦，被引入與佛陀就「我」之本質展開的公開辯論，節節敗退直至滿身大汗，而佛陀卻始終從容不迫，辯論結束時薩遮迦轉而邀請佛陀及其弟子隔日應供。

A discourse describing how the boastful debater Saccaka, confident no one could match him in argument, is drawn into a public debate with the Buddha over the nature of the Self, is gradually forced to concede every point until he is drenched in sweat while the Buddha remains composed, and ends by inviting the Buddha and his disciples to a meal.
