아나타핀디카(Anāthapiṇḍika)의 딸로, 불신자 집안으로 시집갔으나 공중에 던진 꽃을 통해 부처님과 오백 비구를 기적적으로 초청함으로써 남편 집안을 부처님의 가르침으로 개종시켰다.

A daughter of Anāthapiṇḍika who, married into an unbelieving family, converted her husband’s household to the Buddha’s teaching by miraculously inviting him and five hundred monks through flowers thrown into the air.
