一经讲述佛陀向帝释天简要说明比丘如何借灭除贪爱而得解脱，大目犍连怀疑帝释是否真正领会此法，遂前往探询，起初帝释以展示宫殿威能来回避问题，直到目犍连震动其宫殿令他惊惶失措，才终于逐字复述出佛陀原本的解说。

A discourse in which the Buddha briefly explains to Sakka how a monk is liberated through the destruction of craving, after which Mahā-Moggallāna, doubting whether Sakka truly grasped the teaching, visits him, is met at first with an evasive display of divine power, and only receives the correct answer, word for word, after shaking Sakka’s palace to unsettle him.
