명상에 전념하다 치료받지 못한 안질로 시력을 잃었으나 눈이 먼 채로 아라한과를 얻은, 사왓티 지주의 아들인 아라한으로, 훗날 길을 안내하던 조카가 도중에 그를 버리자 삭까가 몸소 그를 무사히 집까지 인도해 주었다.

An Arahant, son of a Sāvatthi landowner, who lost his sight to untreated ophthalmia while single-mindedly pursuing meditation, attained Arahantship despite his blindness, and was later led safely home by Sakka after his escorting nephew abandoned him.
