舍衛城一位地主之子出身的阿羅漢，禪修中因專注修行而未及時醫治眼疾致使雙目失明，雖盲仍證得阿羅漢果，後來護送他的侄兒半途棄他而去，帝釋天親自現身引導他安全返鄉。

An Arahant, son of a Sāvatthi landowner, who lost his sight to untreated ophthalmia while single-mindedly pursuing meditation, attained Arahantship despite his blindness, and was later led safely home by Sakka after his escorting nephew abandoned him.
