A Jātaka, also called the Khaṇḍahāla Jātaka, about Prince Candakumāra of Pupphavatī, whose righteous judgments earned him the enmity of the corrupt chaplain Khaṇḍahāla, who nearly had him sacrificed along with the whole royal family before Sakka intervened to save him.
