拘萨罗的一位国王，王国被迦尸的梵授王夺取后携妻隐姓埋名逃亡，被押赴刑场时给儿子 Dīghāyu 留下“勿看得太远，也勿看得太近”的临终遗言，后来正是这句话使儿子放弃了为父母复仇的念头。

A king of Kosala who, after his kingdom was seized by Brahmadatta of Kāsi, fled into hiding and, on being led to execution, gave his son Dīghāyu the enigmatic dying counsel “look neither too far nor too near,” which later restrained the son from avenging his parents’ death.
