一則本生故事，是國王 Dīghīti 之子 Dīghāyu 的故事，他謹記父親臨終教誨，在有機會時饒恕梵授王性命，後因此得福，是佛陀就憍賞彌僧團紛爭所說。

A birth story continuing the tale of Dīghāyu, son of King Dīghīti, who heeds his father’s dying advice and spares Brahmadatta’s life when given the chance, later benefiting from his forbearance, told in reference to the quarrelsome monks of Kosambī.
