තම හදාවඩන මාතාව මහාපජාපති ගෝතමී විසින් වියන ලද සිවුරක් ලබාගත් බුදුන් වහන්සේ, වැඩි පිනක් සඳහා එය සංඝයාට පූජා කරන ලෙස ඇයගෙන් ඉල්ලා, ඉන්පසු විවිධ ආකාරයේ දාන, දායකයන් හා ලබන්නන් සහ ඔවුන් අතර පවිත්‍රතා මට්ටම් පැහැදිලි කරන දේශනාවකි.

A discourse in which the Buddha, receiving a robe woven by his foster-mother Mahāpajāpatī Gotamī, asks her to offer it to the Order instead for greater merit, then explains the various kinds of gifts, givers, and recipients and the degrees of purity among them.
