พระสูตรที่พระพุทธเจ้าทรงรับจีวรที่พระนางมหาปชาบดีโคตมีผู้เป็นพระมารดาเลี้ยงทรงทอถวาย แต่ทรงขอให้นางถวายแด่คณะสงฆ์แทนเพื่อบุญที่มากกว่า แล้วทรงอธิบายชนิดต่าง ๆ ของทาน ผู้ให้ และผู้รับ ตลอดจนระดับความบริสุทธิ์ในหมู่พวกเขา

A discourse in which the Buddha, receiving a robe woven by his foster-mother Mahāpajāpatī Gotamī, asks her to offer it to the Order instead for greater merit, then explains the various kinds of gifts, givers, and recipients and the degrees of purity among them.
