二人の学友についてのジャータカで、一人はバーラーナシー（Bārāṇasī）の王となり、もう一人は静かに独覚の悟りを得て世を離れる。数十年後、悟りを得た友が今や物忘れの激しい王を訪れ、出離を教える。仏陀自身の出離に関連して説かれた。

A Jātaka about two student friends, one of whom becomes a king in Bārāṇasī while the other quietly attains solitary enlightenment and withdraws from the world; decades later the enlightened friend visits the now-forgetful king and teaches him renunciation, told in connection with the Buddha’s own renunciation.
