ශිෂ්‍ය මිතුරන් දෙදෙනෙකු පිළිබඳ ජාතක කථාවකි, එකෙක් බරණැස රජකු වන අතර, අනෙකා නිහඬව ඒකාන්ත ප්‍රබෝධයට පත් වී ලෝකයෙන් ඉවත් වේ; දශක ගණනාවකට පසු ප්‍රබෝධ ලත් මිතුරා දැන් අමතක වූ රජු වෙත ගොස් වෛරාග්‍යය ඉගැන්වීම; බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේම වෛරාග්‍යයට සම්බන්ධ කර මෙය කියන ලදී.

A Jātaka about two student friends, one of whom becomes a king in Bārāṇasī while the other quietly attains solitary enlightenment and withdraws from the world; decades later the enlightened friend visits the now-forgetful king and teaches him renunciation, told in connection with the Buddha’s own renunciation.
