一则本生故事，讲两位同窗好友，一人后来成为波罗奈国王，另一人则默默证得独觉果位而遁世，数十年后这位证悟的友人重访已将他遗忘的国王，教以出离之道，国王闻后也随之出家，此事与佛陀本人的出离相关联而说。

A Jātaka about two student friends, one of whom becomes a king in Bārāṇasī while the other quietly attains solitary enlightenment and withdraws from the world; decades later the enlightened friend visits the now-forgetful king and teaches him renunciation, told in connection with the Buddha’s own renunciation.
