一則本生故事，講兩位同窗好友，一人後來成為波羅奈國王，另一人則默默證得獨覺果位而遁世，數十年後這位證悟的友人重訪已將他遺忘的國王，教以出離之道，國王聞後也隨之出家，此事與佛陀本人的出離相關聯而說。

A Jātaka about two student friends, one of whom becomes a king in Bārāṇasī while the other quietly attains solitary enlightenment and withdraws from the world; decades later the enlightened friend visits the now-forgetful king and teaches him renunciation, told in connection with the Buddha’s own renunciation.
