釋迦族的一處市鎮，佛陀遊化時曾駐留說法，傳統上被視為摩耶夫人（Mahāmāyā）與摩訶波闍波提·瞿曇彌（Mahāpajāpatī Gotamī）的出生地，佛陀誕生的藍毗尼園（Lumbinī）便在附近。

A township of the Sākyā where the Buddha stayed and taught during his travels, traditionally regarded as the birthplace of Mahāmāyā and Mahāpajāpatī Gotamī, and near which lay the Lumbinī grove where the Buddha himself was born.

一位釋迦族酋長，稱為 Devadaha-Sakka，是 Añjana 與 Kaccānā 之父，其女 Añjana 所生摩耶夫人與摩訶波闍波提·瞿曇彌，故為二人外祖父。

A Sakyan chief known as Devadaha-Sakka, father of Añjana and Kaccānā, and thus grandfather, through his daughter Añjana, of both Mahāmāyā and Mahāpajāpatī Gotamī.
