우빠와나를 통해 보낸 뜨거운 물과 당밀로 붓다의 경련을 낫게 한 사왓티의 바라문으로, 그 후 붓다를 찾아뵙고 교화되었다.

A brahmin of Sāvatthi whose hot water and treacle, sent via Upavāṇa, cured the Buddha of a cramp, after which he visited the Buddha and was converted.
