王舍城的一位婆罗门大臣，为敛财而压榨百姓，后经舍利弗以正义之理劝诫，临终又蒙舍利弗教导求生梵天，惟佛陀说他仅生于梵天较低之处。

A brahmin minister of Rājagaha who oppressed the people for wealth until Sāriputta admonished him on righteousness, and who, on his deathbed, was guided by Sāriputta toward union with a Brahma-world, though the Buddha said he was reborn in one of its lower realms.
