담마라는 이름의 천신, 즉 보살이 데바닷따와 동일시되는 사악한 신 아담마에 맞서 덕을 지키는 자타카로, 그의 전차는 결국 지옥으로 추락한다. 데바닷따가 아비지옥에 삼켜지는 운명을 설명하기 위해 이야기되었다.
