Placeマヒー川のほとりに住む裕福な牧畜家で、その満ち足りた繁栄の歌に仏陀が詩句ごとに応答し、彼と妻、二人の娘は預流果を得て後に出家した。
A wealthy herdsman living on the banks of the river Mahī whose contented song of prosperity was answered verse for verse by the Buddha, leading him, his wife, and two daughters to become Stream-winners and later to enter the Order.

A potter of Rājagaha who entered the Order after learning of Pukkusāti’s enlightened death, and whose overly elaborate brick hut, later replaced by wood taken without proper authorization, prompted new Vinaya rules on monastic dwellings.
