Chuyện Bổn sanh về một con voi bị bắt ở Himavā rồi trốn thoát khỏi những người huấn luyện, sống trong nỗi kinh hoàng triền miên cho đến khi vị Bồ Tát, khi ấy là thần cây, xua tan nỗi sợ của nó, được kể liên hệ đến một tỳ-kheo luôn sợ chết, được đồng nhất với con voi.

A Jātaka about an elephant, captured in the Himavā and later escaping its trainers, who lives in constant terror until the Bodhisatta, as a tree-spirit, dispels its fear, told in reference to a monk perpetually afraid of death, identified with the elephant.
