열매가 떨어지는 소리를 세상이 무너지는 소리로 착각하여 겁에 질린 동물들의 도주를 일으킨 겁 많은 토끼에 관한 자타카로, 사자 모습을 한 보살에 의해서만 진정되었으며, 두타행에 관한 비구들의 질문에 답하여 설해졌다
