アッタダッシー仏の時代にその教えを聞き、その説法に喜んで礼拝した阿羅漢で、後にアミッタターパナという名の王となり、おそらくパヴィッタ長老と同一人物である。

An Arahant who, in the time of Atthadassī Buddha, heard him teach and, gladdened by the discourse, paid homage; he later became a king under the name Amittatāpana, and is probably identical with the elder Paviṭṭha.
