아타다시 부처님 시대에 그 가르침을 듣고 설법에 기뻐하며 예경을 올린 아라한으로, 후에 아밋타타파나라는 이름의 왕이 되었으며, 아마도 파빗타 장로와 동일 인물일 것이다.

An Arahant who, in the time of Atthadassī Buddha, heard him teach and, gladdened by the discourse, paid homage; he later became a king under the name Amittatāpana, and is probably identical with the elder Paviṭṭha.
