พระอรหันต์ผู้ซึ่งเก้าสิบเอ็ดกัปก่อน ครั้งเป็นช่างปั้นหม้อในเมืองหังสวดี ได้ถวายบาตรดินที่ทำอย่างประณีตแด่พระพุทธเจ้าพระองค์หนึ่ง จึงมีผลให้ได้ฉันจากบาตรทองและเงินตลอดมา เชื่อกันว่าเป็นบุคคลเดียวกับพระมหาจุนทเถระ

An arahant who, ninety-one world-cycles ago as a potter of Haṃsavatī, gave a well-made clay bowl to a Buddha and, as a result, always thereafter ate from bowls of gold and silver; he is thought to be the same person as the elder Mahācunda.
