බාරාණසියේ රජු ලෙස උපත ලැබූ බෝධිසත්වයා, ආක්‍රමණික සතුරු රජෙකු විසින් අල්ලා හිස පහළට හරවා එල්ලූ විටත්, එම දුෂ්කර අවස්ථාවේදීම මෛත්‍රී භාවනාව වඩමින් නිදහසත් සතුරාගේ ගෞරවයත් දිනා ගත්තේය.

The Bodhisatta born as King of Bārāṇasī, who, captured and hung upside down by an invading rival king, won his freedom and his enemy’s respect by cultivating loving-kindness even in that extremity.
