A Jātaka about King Udaya of Bārāṇasī, reborn from a servant who died of a half-day fast, whose royal barber Gaṅgamāla learned the meaning of a cryptic verse about that past life, renounced the world, became a Pacceka Buddha, and returned to teach the king.
