ဘုရားရှင်၏ ယမကပါဋိဟာကို မျက်မြင်တွေ့ရှိပြီးနောက် ရဟန်းဝင်ခဲ့ပြီး ဂဟွရတီရ ဟု ခေါ်သော နေရာတွင် နေထိုင်စဉ် ရဟန္တာဖြစ်ခဲ့ကာ ထိုအမည်ကို ရရှိခဲ့သည့် အဂ္ဂိဒတ္တ ဟု အမည်ရှိသော သာဝတ္ထိမြို့မှ ပုဏ္ဏားတစ်ဦး။

A brahmin of Sāvatthi named Aggidatta who entered the Order after witnessing the Buddha’s Twin Miracle and became an Arahant while living at a spot called Gahvaratīra, from which he took his name.
