舍卫城一位名为 Aggidatta 的婆罗门，目睹佛陀双神变后出家，居于 Gahvaratīra 一地证得阿罗汉果，因而以此地为号。

A brahmin of Sāvatthi named Aggidatta who entered the Order after witnessing the Buddha’s Twin Miracle and became an Arahant while living at a spot called Gahvaratīra, from which he took his name.
