舍衛城一位名為 Aggidatta 的婆羅門，目睹佛陀雙神變後出家，居於 Gahvaratīra 一地證得阿羅漢果，因而以此地為號。

A brahmin of Sāvatthi named Aggidatta who entered the Order after witnessing the Buddha’s Twin Miracle and became an Arahant while living at a spot called Gahvaratīra, from which he took his name.
