ガジャバーフとも呼ばれ、母のためにマートゥ精舎を建て、アバヤギリ塔を拡張し、後にパッティニー女神信仰を伝えたとされるスリランカ王（西暦174–196年）。

A king of Sri Lanka (174–196 CE), also called Gajabāhu, who built the Mātuvihāra for his mother, expanded the Abhayagiri Cetiya, and is later credited with introducing the cult of the goddess Pattini.
