舍衛城一位尼乾子教（Nigaṇṭhā）信徒，效法好友尸利笈多（Sirigutta）曾對其師所設的陷阱，挖坑填滿炭火意圖羞辱佛陀，佛陀卻令坑中湧現蓮花，反使他歸信證得須陀洹果。

A resident of Sāvatthi and follower of the Nigaṇṭhā who, imitating a trick his friend Sirigutta had played on their teachers, tried to humiliate the Buddha with a pit of burning coals, only to see the Buddha turn it into a bed of lotus flowers and convert him instead.
