他所で語られた話を再度語り、中傷者の影響で投獄されたコーサラ国の大臣に当てはめ、獄中で預流果を得て釈放された際に仏陀がこの話を語ったとされ、アーナンダは物語中の王の一人と同一視される本生話。

A Jātaka retelling an earlier story, applied here to a minister of the Kosalan king who was imprisoned through slanderers’ influence, attained the first stage of awakening while in prison, and on release was told this tale by the Buddha, Ānanda being identified with a king in the story.
