Person王に忘れ去られ、王が庵室を建ててくれるまで野外で暮らしていたビンビサーラ王の祭司の息子で、後に阿羅漢果を得たが、病に伏した際にブッダはアーナンダに無常の十の想いと関連する観想を彼のために誦えさせた。
The son of King Bimbisāra’s chaplain who, after being forgotten and left to live in the open until the king built him a hermitage, became an Arahant, and for whom, when later ill, the Buddha had Ānanda recite the ten perceptions of impermanence and related contemplations.
