講述樂師 Guttila 與其弟子 Mūsila（即提婆達多）比試較量的本生故事，是針對提婆達多雖從佛陀習得三藏與四禪，卻始終不肯承認佛陀為其師而說。

A Jātaka about the music teacher Guttila and his contest with his rival pupil Mūsila, identified with Devadatta, related to Devadatta’s refusal to acknowledge the Buddha as his teacher despite having learned the Tipiṭaka and the four Jhānas from him.
