A yakkha residing at Indakūṭa near Rājagaha who once questioned the Buddha about how the soul acquires a material form, receiving in reply an explanation of embryonic growth without recourse to a soul.

A deva who, as a result of once giving a spoonful of food to Anuruddha, was reborn in Tāvatiṃsa with such great merit that no other god could displace him from his seat near the Buddha, distinct from the yakkha of the same name.
