깨어남과 잠에 관한 나무 정령의 수수께끼를 풀어낸 숲속 고행자에 관한 자타카로, 밤새 안절부절 왔다 갔다 한 것만으로 자기도 모르게 도적들이 대상을 습격하지 못하게 막아 크게 존경받은 재가 신자에 관해 설해졌다.

A Jātaka about a forest ascetic who solves a tree-spirit’s riddle about waking and sleeping, told about a lay disciple who unknowingly deterred bandits from attacking his caravan simply by pacing restlessly through the night, for which he was greatly honoured.
