พราหมณ์แห่งดุนนิวิฏฐะในแคว้นกลิงคะ ผู้ถูกภรรยาสาวยุยงจนได้ตัวโอรสธิดาของพระเวสสันดรฤๅษีมาเป็นทาส แล้วนำไปขายคืนแก่พระอัยกาผู้เป็นกษัตริย์ และสิ้นชีวิตด้วยการกินมากเกินไปในเวลาต่อมาไม่นาน ซึ่งคือพระเทวทัตในอดีตชาติ

A brahmin of Dunniviṭṭha in Kāliṅga who, urged by his young wife, obtained the children of the ascetic Vessantara as slaves, sold them back to their royal grandfather, and died of overeating shortly after, identified with Devadatta.
