බෝධිසත්වයා බරණැස් ජනසන්ධ රජු ලෙස ධාර්මිකව රාජ්‍ය පාලනය කරමින්, සෑම මසකම ජනතාවට ගුණධර්ම ඉගැන්වූ ආකාරය විස්තර කරන ජාතකයකි. එය තම යුතුකම් හා බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ ගැන නොසලකා සිටි පසේනදි රජු දෝෂාරෝපණය කිරීම සඳහා දේශනා කරන ලදී.
