龍王ダタラッタの息子で、母が人間であるかどうかを試した際、母の驚愕の反応によって片目を失明させられた人物。その残忍な性質のため兄弟たちは彼を人間界ではなく神々の世界へ送った。スナッカッタの前生と同一視される。

A son of the Nāga king Dhataraṭṭha who was blinded in one eye by his own mother’s startled reaction when he tested her humanity, and whose cruel nature led his brothers to send him to the world of the gods rather than of men, identified as a past life of Sunakkhatta.
