용왕 다타랏타의 아들로, 어머니가 인간인지 시험하다가 어머니의 놀란 반응으로 한쪽 눈을 잃었다. 잔인한 성품 때문에 형제들이 그를 인간계 대신 천상계로 보냈으며 수낙캇타의 전생으로 여겨진다.

A son of the Nāga king Dhataraṭṭha who was blinded in one eye by his own mother’s startled reaction when he tested her humanity, and whose cruel nature led his brothers to send him to the world of the gods rather than of men, identified as a past life of Sunakkhatta.
