Kāka Jātaka
Jātaka一则本生故事,讲述一位祭司因被乌鸦弄脏而怀恨,谎称乌鸦脂肪可治国王大象的烧伤,导致乌鸦惨遭大量捕杀,菩萨挺身说明乌鸦终日惊恐度日、体内并无脂肪,才使屠杀停止。
A birth-story about crows nearly exterminated after a chaplain, angered when one soiled him, falsely prescribed crows’ fat to cure the king’s fire-injured elephants, until the Bodhisatta explains that crows have no fat because their lives are spent in constant fear.

A Jātaka about a greedy crow who, having ingratiated himself with a pet pigeon living in a merchant’s kitchen basket, was caught stealing food and punished, told with reference to a greedy monk.
