本生故事，讲一位波罗奈王子受化身青年的帝释挑动而贪求无厌、终至病倒，后由菩萨点破贪欲之虚妄而痊愈；此事为促成《爱欲经》宣说的婆罗门而说。

A birth story of a Bārāṇasī prince whose insatiable greed for a kingdom, stoked by Sakka in disguise, made him ill, until the future Buddha cured him by exposing the futility of endless craving, told regarding the brahmin who prompted a discourse on desire.
