Personමහා යාගයක් සකස් කරමින් සිටියදී, යාග කෙසේ පවත්වා ගත යුතුදැයි බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගෙන් උපදෙස් ලබාගත් ඛාණුමත නම් අතිශයින් උගත් බ්රාහ්මණයෙක්; කූටදන්ත සූත්රයේ සටහන් වූ ඔහුගේ ආගමට හැරීම, බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ මහා ආධ්යාත්මික ජයග්රහණයක් ලෙස සලකනු ලැබේ
A very learned brahmin of Khāṇumata who, while preparing a great sacrifice, consulted the Buddha on how sacrifices should be conducted; his resulting conversion, recorded in the Kūṭadanta Sutta, is counted among the Buddha’s great spiritual victories.
