ගසක් තුළ සඟවා තිබූ පියා දුම් ඉකිත් කිරීමෙන් වෙළෙන්දෙකු වූ Paṇḍita (බෝසතාණන් වහන්සේ) අවංක නොවූ හවුල්කරු Atipaṇḍita ගේ ගස්-දේවතාවෙකු සමඟ ව්‍යාජ උපදෙස් ලබාගැනීම හෙළිදරව් කරන ජාතක කථාවකි.

A Jātaka in which the merchant Paṇḍita (the Bodhisatta) exposes his dishonest partner Atipaṇḍita’s fake consultation with a tree-spirit by smoking out the father hidden inside the tree.

තැන්පත් කර තිබූ නගුල් කොස් මීයන් කා දැමූ බවට වූ ප්‍රකාශයෙන් රැවටුණු ගම්වැසියෙක්, තම මිතුරාගේ පුතා උකුස්සෙකු ගෙන ගිය බව පවසමින් පළිගන්නා ජාතක කථාවකි; අවසානයේ විනිසුරු — බෝසතාණන් වහන්සේ — ඔවුන්ගේ ආරවුල විසඳති.

A Jātaka in which a villager, cheated by a claim that mice ate his deposited ploughshares, retaliates by pretending a hawk carried off his friend’s son, until the judge — the Bodhisatta — settles their dispute.
