ヴェッサンタラ（Vessantara）王子とマッディー（Maddī）の娘で、兄ジャーリ（Jāli）とともにバラモンのジューヤカ（Jūjaka）に奴隷として与えられたが、祖父の宮廷で身請けされた。ウッパラヴァンナー（Uppalavaṇṇā）の前世と同定される。
