웨산타라(Vessantara) 왕자와 맛디(Maddī)의 딸로, 오빠 잘리(Jāli)와 함께 바라문 주자까(Jūjaka)에게 노예로 넘겨졌다가 조부의 궁정에서 몸값을 치르고 풀려났다. 웁빨라완나(Uppalavaṇṇā)의 전생으로 동일시된다.
