Kaṭṭhavāhana
Person婆罗门导师婆吠利(Bāvarī)的前生,本为波罗奈的一位木匠首领,率同行工匠迁往喜马拉雅山麓另建一国并自立为王。
A king who, in a former life, was Bāvarī the brahmin teacher; originally a master carpenter of Bārāṇasī, he led his fellow craftsmen to found a new kingdom in the Himalayan foothills and became its first ruler.

Person波罗奈国王,即菩萨前生,为梵授王(Brahmadatta)与一位在林中拾柴时被王邂逅并纳为妃的女子所生之子,事见《拾薪本生》。
A king of Bārāṇasī and the Bodhisatta, born the son of King Brahmadatta and a firewood-gathering woman he met and married in a grove, as told in the Kaṭṭhahāri Jātaka.

Person一位国王,本是一名建筑大师,因所建华美宫殿引来王子欲杀之灭口,遂暗中造出木制金翅鸟,携家人乘之逃往喜马拉雅山另立为王。
A king who, as a master builder threatened with death by the prince he had built a magnificent palace for, escaped with his family on a wooden garuḍa-bird he had secretly constructed and founded his own kingdom in the Himalayas.
