일곱 살 때 추위에 떠는 비구 천 명에게 담요를 마련해 준 데서 얻은 이름으로, 후에 와나와시띳사로 알려진 비구의 초기 이름이다.

An earlier name of the monk later known as Vanavāsī-Tissa, given to him after he obtained blankets for a thousand cold monks while still only seven years old.
